Behavioral Learning Center, now part of Star of CA (a Stepping Stones Group Company) is currently interviewing Behavior Technicians in Denver, CO!
Behavioral Learning Center (BLC) provides behavior analytic services to children and adults with developmental disabilities such as autism and other related conditions in the home setting. ABA therapy is deemed an essential service, and due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have taken safety precaution steps for in-home treatment sessions to ensure our people and our clients are protected.
Qualifications:
Proof of high school or highest earned diploma
Reliable form of transportation
RBT and/or experience with children with autism is a plus!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct face to face Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment services to children with autism in their home, school, or community settings. Ability to work part-time at least three weekdays 3:00pm-8:00pm M-F, and Saturdays 9:00-2:00pm. Ability to work up to 20 hours per week.
Behavior Technicians will teach children with autism how to communicate, play, make friends, and function more independently, while helping resolve challenging behaviors
Work under the direction of a program supervisor
Collect, organize, and summarize behavioral data on child's treatment goals
Work with families to support their child's progress
Able to lift at least 25 lbs
Able to sit (on the ground) for extended periods of time and move with ease
Able to see, hear, articulate (e.g. for client safety, teaching of language and other skills, etc.)
Able to use/manipulate small technological devices
