Sanitation Team Member – Custodian

Full Time – 40Hrs

10:00am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday

Paid Weekly – Ask about a sign-on bonus!

Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred but not required

Position Summary: The Sanitation Team Member cleans and maintains assigned area(s) to meet and exceed federal and third part regulatory requirements and is accountable for responsibilities within the Sanitation Department. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by day based on regular requirements and business needs.

Essential Functions:

• Adheres to established policies and procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state/local, and federal regulations.
• Maintains a clean and orderly environment to protect the safety and health of others and to comply with federal regulations involving food processors.
• Regular cleaning and sanitizing of common area(s) including but not limited to restrooms, interior and exterior break areas, lobby, and offices.
• Regular monitoring and replacement of consumable supplies such as paper towels, bath tissue, soap, hand sanitizer, hairnets, masks, etc.
• Maintain accurate and organized inventory of all sanitation supplies and documentation.
• Properly clean and maintain and store housekeeping equipment when not in use.
• Clean assigned areas company standards and requirements with regular documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
• Monitoring and maintaining exterior of building to ensure it is free of trash and other debris.
• Follows procedures for storage and disposal of waste and transport it to designated areas.
• Follows procedures for storage and use of chemicals to include using appropriate personal protective equipment provided by company.
• Reports maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Secures the facility, ensuring all exterior doors are always locked.
• Secures sanitation cage, ensuring it remains closed and always locked when not in use.
• Ensures security of company assets by storing appropriately when not in use.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.

Qualifications
Previous custodial experience required

Previous knowledge of safe chemical handling
Must have the ability to work independently with and without supervision.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
