What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3D Artist position at Stardock?
Stardock is seeking an experienced full-time, 3D Artist, to collaborate with our existing team on assets for an upcoming game title. The ideal candidate will be skillful in creating a variety of assets and have a strong artistic eye. Furthermore, the artist should be comfortable with a technical pipeline involving different tools along with a proprietary in-house engine. Overall, this candidate must be passionate about contributing to the creation of video game experiences beyond simply creating assets.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Produce high quality assets according to design specs, technical requirements and 3D best practices
- Create terrain, organic, and hard surface assets
- Create textures using Substance Painter, and Substance Designer
- Create consistent, stylized artwork from concept to finalized asset
- Complete 3D art on schedule with project milestones
- Collaborate cross discipline to continually ensure project visuals and improve upon our custom workflows and technology
Education and/or Experience Desired:
- 3 Years professional experience making assets for games as displayed in a visual portfolio
- Proficient with standard industry tools such as: Maya, Z-Brush, Substance Painter or Substance Designer, Photoshop
- Strong grasp of color, form, composition and motion
- Experience working in a PBR asset creation pipeline
- Experience working with game engines
- Well-developed communication, teamwork and collaboration skills
Bonuses:

Salary : $59,600 - $75,500
