Position Overview:
As an Accounts Receivable clerk, you will play a key role in managing the company's receivables, ensuring timely collection, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. Responsibilities:
Invoicing and Billing:
Generate and send out accurate and timely invoices to clients based on contractual terms.
Verify that invoices are complete, accurate, and comply with company policies.
Payment Processing:
Record and post customer payments accurately and promptly.
Monitor accounts to ensure timely and complete payment of outstanding invoices.
Reconciliation:
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to address and rectify payment discrepancies.
Collections:
Implement and maintain an effective collections process to ensure timely payment of outstanding receivables.
Communicate with customers to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
Customer Relations:
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to facilitate smooth payment processes.
Address customer inquiries and provide outstanding customer service regarding billing and payment matters.
Reporting:
Generate and analyze reports related to accounts receivable, providing insights to management as needed.
Contribute to the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the accounts receivable function.
Credit Management:
Assess and establish credit limits for new and existing clients in collaboration with the credit department.
Monitor and evaluate credit risk, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
Month-End Activities:
Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable, including reconciliations and reporting.
Provide accurate and timely reports to support financial reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
Proficient in using accounting software is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a team environment.
