Sr. Accountant

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

Lead the preparation and analysis of comprehensive financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Provide valuable insights into financial performance and trends.

Month-End Close:

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

Reconcile complex accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate financial projections.

Monitor variances and analyze financial results against budget.

Supervision and Mentoring:

Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and contribute to professional development plans.

Internal Controls:

Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.

Assist in audits and compliance reviews.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting function.

Streamline financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Tax Compliance:

Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Prepare and review tax returns and filings.

Ad Hoc Analysis:

Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and provide insights for strategic decision-making.

Support executive management with financial information as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is highly desirable.

Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.

Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, SAGE, Oracle, etc.) and or advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.
