Summary of Information Technology Technician role:
Seeking a full-time information technology technician for hardware and software support of users at Starkey. These responsibilities include the support and maintenance of existing software applications and development of new technical solutions as required by the organization. This position will also provide support for a variety of company devices, including smartphones, security cameras, cable television, secure door access and other systems. Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide hardware/software support for users as needed. Make recommendations to the system administrator for repair, replacement, and purchase of computer equipment, as needed.
- In the absence of the system administrator, format, set up, and secure nightly, weekly, monthly, and year-end server backups.
- Assist in the maintenance of the voicemail computer.
- Assist in the maintenance of agency phones, agency phone lines and cellular phones by forwarding requests for repair and service to the appropriate service providers.
- Take photos of staff and persons served for processing ID badges and maintaining photo database, as needed.
- Provide training to staff and persons served on basic use of the computer and Starkey's software applications.
- Meet personnel and organizational requirements and expectations.
- Develop positive supportive relationships with coworkers.
- Communicate using person first language.
- Use and encourage communication with persons served that is positive and respectful, and promotes independence.
- Demonstrate the energy of caring by showing initiative, being resourceful, and being respectful and supportive of others.
- Promote the independence of persons served.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements for the Information Technology Technician role:
- Minimum of HS Diploma, GED, or WorkKeys Bronze Certificate.

Minimum of one (1) year experience with computer networking system, Windows 9X, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and all Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc. Experience with hardware repair and software installation. Relevant certification/education may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Be at least 18 years old
- Valid Driver's License for a minimum of two years with a good driving record.
- Pass drug and alcohol screenings
- Pass criminal background checks
- Must be available for 2-4 weeks of PAID training, M-F 8:30am-5:00pm.
