Description:

Analyze and underwrite Inland Marine risk exposures on new and renewal business.

Maintain an existing renewal book of business to a minimum of 90% renewal retention.

Travel to and conduct client and broker meetings on all major renewals.

Travel to and complete marketing/sales meetings in assigned territories within the southeast region.

Ensure underwriting and service standards are met on assigned accounts.

Develop and pursue target accounts.

Maintain contact with brokers and agents in order to foster ongoing business relationships.
Skills/Experience Required:

2-7 years underwriting experience, preferred at least 2 years of inland marine experience, willing to consider strong property, construction, or transportation background as well

Strong portfolio management and production skills with an understanding of the company’s business objectives.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong computer skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business/work experience
