Responsibilities
This position is for a Lead Software Engineer in the IT Claims Area with responsibility for the development of critical functionality that drives work within our claim handling applications. We are currently early in our journey to modernize our Claim systems and move our tasking and file note functionality to the cloud. The selected candidate will get to be a part of our AWS cloud migration and new solution design for user facing applications, as well as supporting and enhancing the front and back-end components to enable these applications.

Qualifications
Competitive candidates will bring the following:
- 5 years of software engineer experience in a business environment
- Ability to develop applications in Java, HTML/CSS, JavaScript client side framework and Spring framework that provide or consume web services (SOAP and RESTful web services)
- AWS and/or Salesforce experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to breakdown complex technical problems
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies.
