Would you enjoy working with the public and answering questions regarding land use management in the State of Alaska? If yes, this may be the job for you! This position works in the Southeast Regional Office, Division of Mining, Land and Water, and provides clerical and administrative support to staff. It will also assist the public by answering questions and providing information regarding Department of Natural Resources programs.
In this position, you will learn about all things related to the Department of Natural Resources! Our team will train you to become a “jack of all trades” with a wealth of knowledge about the public sector.
This position will be trained to receive, review, and initiate over-the-counter land-use permits and, in some cases, assist with adjudicating permit applications and administering issued authorizations. It is also responsible for receipting permit application fees and procuring office supplies, including computer and other equipment supplies.
