What you will be doing:
As the Facilities Service Process Manager, this position is responsible for accounting and financial management over the Division of Facilities Services (DFS) rate development, accounting activity, and reporting.
This is a nonsupervisory accountant position responsible for coordination, execution and accuracy of the Division’s accounting structures and cost allocations, makes recommendations, and ensures financial activity is within the allowable scope and terms of the governing requirements.

Our division’s mission is to "Support the department's operations with quality administration." This position manages and oversees the detail accounting activity related to work performed by DFS through Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Reimbursable Service Agreements (RSA) and Capital Projects and other financial activity. You will serve as a consultative expert for all related statewide charge back rates.

- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to interpret quantitative and qualitative data; includes data modeling, earned value management, and evaluating key financial indicators, trends, and historical data.
- Principles of Accounting: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, standards, and practices (for example, double entry accounting, accrual accounting), including the full accounting cycle and the preparation of work sheets, financial statements, ledgers, and journals.
- Reasoning: Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions.
- Technical Competence: Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues.
Equivalent to those typically gained by:
Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or progressively responsible professional level experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial management.

“Typically gained by” means the prevalent, usual method of gaining the competencies expected for entry into the job.
