Job Description

What you will be doing :

As the Health Program Associate you will support viral hepatitis surveillance activities in the Section of Epidemiology's Infectious Disease Program and work closely with the Viral Hepatitis Prevention Coordinator and infectious disease database management staff.

You will assist in developing methods / algorithms for processing viral hepatitis data and contribute to developing data displays and presentations.

The position is located at the Anchorage state office, the building is located in the heart of mid-town Anchorage; situated with views of the Chugach Range, Denali, and the Cook Inlet on the 5th floor of the Frontier building (3601 C St.

Anchorage, AK 99503). There is ample free covered parking and a modern building with a high level of building security offering vending machines for drinks / snacks.

Any combination of education and / or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in

  • applying requisite rules, regulations, and terminology used in the work; completing medical billing, medical claims, medical transcriptions, and / or medical coding;

and / or using computer applications, databases, and reporting systems required to process, store, and maintain data and information subject to privacy and confidentiality laws and rules.
