The Department of Economic Security, Division of Technology Services (DTS), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Accessibility Tools Administrator.
The Senior Systems Administrator (Accessibility Tools Admin) is part of a team of highly skilled technology driven individuals. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with daily support, maintenance, governance, and customer service of all approved accessibility tools, systems, and hardware. This includes installation and configuration within these systems, in office hardware support, and integrations as requested. Daily activities include issuance of license or license keys, tracking and reporting license allocation, coordinating installation of software with desktop support teams, updating policies, and working with the end users to install/configure hardware as needed for accommodation purposes. This position will provide industry best practice guidance to leadership and participate in projects to extend accessibility opportunities.

● Serving as the technology specialist for approved accessibility tools, systems, and hardware.
● Obtains facts and explains complex information to internal employees and contractors.
● Participates in enterprise projects as a technical subject matter expert.
● Provides recommendations for leadership based on best practices and current knowledge.
● Ensures DES accessibility software, systems, and hardware continue to function as required before, during, and after software and system additions or updates, or hardware refreshes.
● Facilitates standard work creation and updates and gathering, analyzing, and evaluating policy processes or procedures.
● Reviewing configuration change proposals for compliance to established standards, guidelines and policies.
● Conducting daily usage analysis, identifies and characterizes incidents, generates incident reports, and investigates reported incidents.
● Monitoring, and directing proactive and reactive support to ensure the availability, integrity, confidentiality and reliability of approved accessibility systems.

Previous experience with accessibility tools.
● Bachelor’s degree plus 5 or more years of experience in systems administration (or equivalent experience).
● Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all
newly hired State employees.
● ARS 41-1969 Each employee or contractor of the department of economic security who is employed in an information technology position shall have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to section ARS 41-1758.07.
● Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the
above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
● Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record in accordance with DES Fleet Management-Safety Program policy and procedures (DES 1-07-26 & DES 1-07-26-01). Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
