Job Summary:
The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a highly skilled individual in all facets of project management. The Information Technology (IT) Project Manager plans, manages, and implements small to medium sized projects, utilizing repeatable project management standards and practices. This position works cross-functionally to analyze risks, create and maintain project artifacts, manages timelines, deadlines and reporting; gathers and maintains stakeholder requirements, coordinates and communicates vendor activities, assists with the Project Investment Justification (PIJ) and System Security Plan (SSP) as required in projects. This role will be highly skilled in all facets of project management, methodologies and practices, and be experienced in continuous improvement of program management processes, procedures, and operational standards.
Please note, this is a hybrid position, and the employee is mandated to work in our downtown Phoenix location one to two days per week.

Job Duties:
- Under supervision, manages multiple, small to medium IT software development lifecycle, implementation, agency-wide, and enterprise-level projects and initiatives from initiation to implementation/deployment based on repeatable project management standards, processes, procedures and practices
- Develops and maintains requirements and detailed project artifacts
- Identifies, manages and resolves risks and issues
- Communicates project status, progress and completes reports
- Spearheads change management processes and implements solutions-based improvements
- Manages vendor timelines, teams, and all associated project activities for Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS), Saas and other vendor-related projects
- Coordinates, communicates and reports on projects with internal and external stakeholders, sponsors, and parties
- Manages with supervision and assistance the state PIJ and Information Technology Authorization Committee (ITAC) processes for applicable projects including but not limited to PIJ timely reporting, ITAC presentations, and application of state policies, processes and procedures for the completion of SSP
- At the direction of the Manager, manages all aspects of project finance and reporting including but not limited to Key Performance Indicators (KPl), variances, contingencies, project budgets, cost overruns, project invoicing, Return On Investment (ROl) and project profitability
- Maintains and updates all documentation in a document repository Program Management
- Drives on state business
- Performs other duties as appropriate to the assignment

Retirement:
Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
