CCHCS seeks to fill a Permanent/Full-time Health Record Technician III position in the Medical Services Division, Health and Imaging Records Center.

.

Under general direction of the Medical Records Director, Health Information Management (HIM) Services, the Health Record Technician (HRT) III performs the more complex duties involved in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the management of Unit Health Records for the Health and Imaging Records Center. The HRT III directs, supervises, trains, and evaluate work activities as it pertains to Unit Health Records. The HRT III may assist in lead responsibility, serve as a team leader on studies or projects or discrete program areas, or plan and perform staff work for health related-advisory committees. Responsibilities include development of policies, procedures, training, technical competencies, decision support, management reports, standardized duty statements, and staffing models.

This position is located in the Health Records Center, Medical Services. This program is tasked with modernizing the way health records are created, delivered, and stored throughout California's correctional health care system in order to improve and enhance patient care. Management develops and implements staffing models, policies, procedures, and training tools for health records employees. Staff ensures that integrity of patient health records is maintained within the Health Record Center.
