EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The primary purpose of this position is to efficiently manage front office work-flow, focusing on clearly and professionally communicating with students in the delivery of information related to Disability Access Services (DAS). This position is the primary recorder of departmental data, organizes Captioning and Real-Time (CART) translation and interpreting services, and manages equipment checkout. This position supports students through completion and/or transfer. The coordinator will assist in the creation and support of an inclusive learning and working environment at ACC.This position will meet and assist students in person, over the phone or via email. Coordinate office mailings and manage calendars for the department. Create, develop and implement office procedures that comply with College and CCCS policies and procedures, and state and federal laws and regulations. Review and revise procedures and update as necessary or requested. Monitor and maintain DAS document collection, tracking, processing, and document imaging, including scanning and routing, utilizing Banner and BDM. Scan documents and index to the appropriate student's file. Coordinate all document processing, imaging and indexing. Ensure documents are coded correctly in ACC's student information system. Maintain and document inventory of supplies for DAS. Order office supplies, forms, publications, and special purchases within the budget. Track purchases against allocated budget and reconcile operating account monthly. Arrange payment for office supplies with Direct Pays, Purchase Orders, PSAs, P-Card, etc. Ensure appropriate authorizations and approvals are obtained for purchases. Compile data on operating expenses by running and analyzing reports to assess budget utilization. • Assist in the hire, training, and supervision of hourly staff. Ensure that confidential information and records are handled with discretion. Perform other related duties as assigned.Schedule, track, and manage CART (Captioning and Real-Time) Translation and Interpreting Services for students and the ACC community. Manage all assistive technology equipment check out and check in; work with supervisor or appropriate Specialist to resolve any issues. Maintain necessary records to track assistive technology. Assign students to specialist based on preferences and case load sizes. Update student information in Data Management System(s) as needed.
