Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida.
We are seeking to hire an Operations Review Specialist who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program.
This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment.
This position is located in the Deputy Chief of Staff's Office.
The Deputy Chief of Staff’s Office has oversight authority for the Medicaid Program and provides support and guidance to the eight Medicaid bureaus/offices.
The Deputy Chief of Staff’s Office is also responsible for the implementation of legislative mandates and other high priority projects for the Program.
This position is housed within the Projects and Process Improvement Unit (PPIU).
PPIU is responsible for supporting a wide range of initiatives for the Medicaid Program including operations, policy development, program implementations, data analytics, and more!
This position is responsible for:
• Working closely with Agency leadership in a deadline-driven environment to ensure successful planning and implementation of projects related to Florida's Medicaid Program.
• Acting as point of contact for project sponsors, team leads, team members, leadership, and other stakeholders to coordinate and facilitate reqular communication on all assigned projects. Maintains professional verbal and written communication.
• Directing work with project teams in planning a project from start to finish.
• Directing and working with project teams and ensures projects stay on schedule.
• Prepareing detailed project schedules using MS Project based on work breakdown structure exercises.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining documentation management and tracking efforts associated with project management standards.
• Preparing, drafting, tracking, and compiling team documentation such as meeting summaries, action items, agendas, etc., and uploading to SharePoint as needed.
• Performing other duties as required.
This position is not a remote or telework position; it will have to report to a Field Office or the Headquarters in Tallahassee.
