The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs (FDVA) seeks to hire talented and dedicated individuals who share our commitment to excellence. The incumbent in this position serves as the Systems and Network Administrator Agency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge or experience with procurement of office automation equipment and related software.
- Knowledge or experience in Information Technology Support in a Microsoft environment.
- Experience providing Customer Service and Support.
- Network or Security certification or equivalent Florida State Agency experience.
- Possess and maintain current driver's license and have the ability to travel within the state of Florida.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. of equipment.
- Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 Years' experience Purchasing IT equipment for enterprise environment.
- 2 Years' experience in Information Technology Support in a Microsoft environment.
- A or higher technical certification.
BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT:
A criminal background investigation, including fingerprinting, statewide, and national criminal history records check, is a condition of employment in this position.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent will be responsible for procuring all IT Equipment and Services for the Agency and administer IT purchasing process and maintain software licensing inventory. The Incumbent answers questions or resolves computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or from remote locations in the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, office productivity software, electronic mail, and operating systems.
- Processes approved Automatic Information Resource Requisitions (AIRR) via Service Desk
- Requisitions computer automation and related equipment and maintains computer inventory controls.
- Serves as a liaison with vendors to provide for special requirements for hardware and communications components such as building modifications, air conditioning, electrical, or cabling requirements.
- Performs and\or assists imaging and upgrading computers.
- Answers calls, emails and/or web tickets as assigned in timeframe set by Service Desk standards and expectations.
- Assists in deployment and installation of office automation equipment to regional offices and facilities.
- Accurately documents and assigns all ticketing system incidents and requests as well as validate customer demographic data.
- Maintain accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment utilizing Active Directory
- Provide customers with courtesy and respect while working towards resolution to their issue or request.
- Reads technical manuals, confers with users, and conducts computer diagnostics to determine nature of problems and provide technical assistance.
- Refers major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
- Maintains accurate and detailed record, through help desk software, of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
- Uses continuing education techniques to maintain knowledge of hardware and software.
- Collaborates with workers engaged in problem-solving, monitoring, and installing data communication equipment and software.
- Works cooperatively as a team player and maintains a good attitude that is conducive to the goal of the team. Assists other Help Desk members upon request.
- Other duties as necessary to fulfill expanding and changing roles/responsibilities of this strategic position.
