This position is with The Bureau of Conveyances, in the Receiving Section of the Land Court Branch.  The primary purpose of this position is to independently receive and examine all legal documents, instruments and maps presented for registration pursuant to Chapters 501, 502 and other related sections of the Hawaii Revised Statues, Rules of the Land Court and Hawaii Administrative Rules. To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Education: Graduation from high school. Excess experience of the type described below or work experience requiring the ability to read and comprehend and apply written directions or a high degree of verbal skill may be substituted for Education on a year-for-year basis.

General Experience: ONE (1) YEAR of responsible work experience which has demonstrated progressively responsible work experience in general office practices and procedures.

Specialized Experience: THREE (3) YEARS of progressively responsible work experience involving checking; reviewing; extracting information from legal documents and/or records dealing with real property ownership or transactions and determining and collecting taxes due.

Substitutions Allowed:
a.  Excess Specialized Experience of the type and quality described above may be substituted for General Experience on a year-for-year basis.
b. Training and an accredited law school maybe substituted for Specialized Experience on a year for year basis.
