The Idaho State Department of Agriculture is currently recruiting a seasonal temporary Watercraft Inspection Station Supervisorlocated in Island Park, ID.

Apply as soon as possible to ensure you will be considered for this position. This position does not have benefits. Example of Duties : This position will supervise the boat inspectors at the Island Park inspection station in Island Park, Idaho.
This job is part of the agency's statewide invasive species prevention program and the supervisor will be responsible for examining and inspecting watercraft to prevent the spread of zebra / quagga mussels and other Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) from infested states.
The use of policy and systematic procedures is of the utmost importance. Collecting, documenting and properly storing samples;
following proper sanitation protocol; and the ability to read maps are all essential skills. The ability to keep accurate records is required for such information as inspection locations, mileage, samples, and time spent conducting an inspection.
The position will use an established protocol to inspect watercraft and conduct hotwashes on high-risk conveyances; conducting quality control activities at watercraft inspection stations;
setting up and taking down portable traffic signs on daily basis; and properly entering detailed watercraft data on an electronic inspection form.
Housing is available by ISDA, including 2 trailers with en suite. Transportation will be provided from St. Anthony to the inspection site.
