Position Overview
Scorers for the World Shooting and Recreation Complex will be responsible for keeping the official tally of each shooters’ score as they compete in an event. The scorer also acts as a referee and must be knowledgeable of official trapshooting rules and safety procedures for the firing line.
Loaders at the World Shooting and Recreation Complex will be responsible for restocking the target throwing machines throughout the shooting event. Scorers and loaders will be tasked with cleaning fields during/after shooting events are completed.
Job Responsibilities
- Scorers accurately tally scores for competitors during an event.
- Scorers serve as a referee to assist in solving any discrepancies.
- Scorers maintain working knowledge of official trapshooting rules and safety procedures for the firing line and ensure rules and safety protocols are followed.
- Loaders will ensure throwing machines always have a sufficient amount of targets in them.
- Scorers and Loaders will clean the firing line fields during and after shooting events.
Minimum Requirements
- Requires knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to completion of 8 years of school.
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, firearm safety protocols.
- Have basic math skills to tally and total scores.

- Requires consistent reliable transportation to get to work.
- Requires capability to lift 30 pounds on a consistent basis.
- Must be legally eligible to be around firearms.
- Requires the ability to work during inclement weather.

Work Hours: Variable: schedules will normally be 4-10 hr. shifts, weekends required with an occasional evening shift.
