- Bachelor’s degree required
- Five (5) years of purchasing experience.
- Two (2) years of budget and contract management experience.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Work experience with computer software or data management system.
- Experience in College/University setting preferred
- Prior training experience hosting live sessions preferred.
- Prior Banner experience preferred.
- Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
- Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
- Must be capable of sitting in stationary position for 50% or more of time.
- Negotiates and prepares contracts of a significant scope. May advise on contract disputes by providing interpretations of the applicable regulations.
- Conducts periodic audits of procurement records to ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies, standards and procedures.
- Performs specialized and high priority procurement/contractual duties in emergency situations.
- Provides guidance to College personnel on alternative products or services, or one-time purchases
- Schedules and conducts pre-bid conferences as required.
- Exercises functional authority to ensure that College personnel and vendors comply with laws, rules, regulations, policies, standards and procedures for the integrity of the procurement function.
- Ensure that legal and budgetary reviews are completed as necessary.
- Manage Public Works Projects up to $250,000
- Review Professional Service contracts for compliance with state regulations
