Main Purpose of Job
The Chief Performance Officer works under the direction of the Superintendent to ensure the viable operations of the Juvenile Services Education Program (JSEP). The incumbent in this position will maintain in constant communication with the Superintendent regarding the day-to-day operations of JSEP; ensuring that the Superintendent’s directives and vision are implemented. The Chief Performance Officer leads initiatives and projects as assigned by the Superintendent and serves as the Chief Communications Officer for JSEP.
POSITION DUTIES
• Executive-level assistance to the JSEP Superintendent Drive communication, collaboration and coordination of the executive team to implement the Strategic Planning Framework and the Implementation Plan. Leads the strategic monitoring, analysis, and reporting of system-wide data; engagement and collaboration with government, community, business and higher education partners; and effective and timely communication of information through innovative and varied approaches.�Supervises the workflow of the Superintendent's office to ensure quality and timeliness including reports, correspondence, and related items. Provides leadership for the Superintendent's executive staff meetings, JSEP leadership meetings, and preparation for JSEP Board meetings including preparation of agenda items and interaction with executive staff in the preparation of materials and presentations.� • Oversight of JSEP Human Resources and Finance� Management of Human Resources and staff development, and JSEP financials as well as other critical operations functions of JSEP. Collaborates extensively with the Superintendent and other JSEP and DJS leadership to provide accountability and coherence of coordinated organizational leadership to ensure the implementation of the school system's strategic goals, objectives and the aligned priorities. Coordinates with DJS’ CFO and maintains an integrated financial program for JSEP including all fiscal operations; and long-range planning activities; and materials management; human capital management; and labor relations. Serves as the principal advisor to the Superintendent in matters related to all fiscal, management, planning and other support services.� •�Parent and Community Engagement� Engages parent and community stakeholders to plan/support JSEP strategic priorities and initiatives through collaborative opportunities with JSEP leadership and schools to improve student academic success and overall student and school experiences.�� •�Plans, coordinates, supervises and evaluates the work of subordinate managers� Evaluates direct reports using the Performance Planning and Evaluation Program (PEP) process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:�A Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field. Experience:�Five years of experience in educational administration, including experience in a leadership role such as principal, or district-level administrator.

� � Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze, and present high level quantitative data. Demonstrated ability to express ideas effectively both orally and in writing.� Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff and partners; community agencies; federal, state and local officials. Demonstrated track record of effective leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration in an educational setting.
