POSITION DUTIES
The main purpose of this job is to review, assign, track and monitor all Title 3 court orders, Title 8 court orders, writs and summons submitted to Maryland Department of Health (MDH) through the Centralized Admissions Office (CAO) from the Circuit and District Courts of 24 jurisdictions in Maryland. This job is responsible for tracking court ordered evaluations for competency, responsibility, presentence and sexual offender reports submitted through the CAO to ensure timeliness as defined by the governing statute. This includes monitoring the daily census, admissions and discharges for the five psychiatric hospitals in the State of Maryland hospital system of care and producing reports at predefined intervals and as needed by Administration. The CAO is the single point of contact for all issues surrounding court orders, evaluations, admissions and placements for the judiciary and internal and external stakeholders. Employees in this position must be able to use independent judgment when managing court orders and evaluations and when communicating with stakeholders. Employees in this position will assist lead worker and manager in refining the workflow, policies and procedures of the CAO as new responsibilities are added to the body of work of the CAO.\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \r\nExperience:�One year of administrative staff or professional work. \r\nNotes:\r\n1. Candidates may substitute 30�college credit hours from an accredited college or university for�the required experience.\r\n2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included�regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required�experience. \r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should possess experience working with the Maryland Court systems with court orders and/or experience with hospital admission processes. The desired candidate should also have experience working with multiple databases and working with a team.\r\n

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.\r\n

Salary : $46,435 - $57,741
