The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking an experienced analyst to work with the Technology Operations unit of the DPH Commissioner's Office. The selected candidate collaborates with EOHHS IT to provide mission-critical IT services and support to DPH staff. The Shared Services Analyst helps Technology Operations oversee the adoption of shared enterprise applications by DPH bureaus and offices, which are managed by EOHHS IT/Digital Technology Office. The Shared Services Analyst provides support to the DPH Shared Application Steering Committee, which coordinates with EOHHS IT/DTO to develop policies, procedures, and training related to shared DPH enterprise applications. _Duties and responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_ * Organize production, quality reviews, visualization, and distribution of periodic reports to support oversight of DPH shared applications. * Monitor EHS IT/DTO chargebacks and performance against service-level agreements. * Identify, analyze, and recommend processes to transition from legacy systems to shared enterprise applications. * Collaborate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to document business processes; improve processes to meet business requirements; and to create and implement user acceptance test plans for processes selected to undergo digital transformation. * Maintain business-facing service catalog of shared enterprise applications. * Support DPH counterparts to ensure compliance with privacy and data protection best practices. * Participate in relevant DPH committees; assist in staffing the Shared Applications Steering Committee. * Support Data Modernization initiatives, as needed or requested. * Provide direct support to REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) - the secure, web-based software platform used to support online and offline data capture for research studies and operations. * Offer introductory training for new users of REDCap. _Required Qualifications:_ * Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques including sampling. * Knowledge of the methods of general report writing, and methods used in the preparation of charts, graphs, and tables. * Ability to prepare and use charts, graphs, tables, and general reports. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Excellent attention to detail. * Capacity to coordinate efforts of others in accomplishing assigned work objectives. * Ability to lead a group of workers. _Preferred Qualifications:_ * Knowledge of the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, specifications, standards and guidelines governing assigned activities. * Knowledge of the types and uses of agency forms. _About the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH):_ The mission of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is to prevent illness, injury, and premature death, to assure access to high quality public health and health care services, and to promote wellness and health equity for all people in the Commonwealth.
