The Stakeholder Relations Executive is responsible for the leadership and direction of building and cultivating sustainable, external relationships with MEDC’s strategic economic development partners, including local economic development partners, utilities, foundations, and other groups that support and impact the success of Michigan’s economic development strategy. The position will function as the primary point of contact and promoter of communication and education with core partners. This position will maintain the highest levels of customer centricity, while creating and managing a systematic, process-driven approach to partner outreach and relationship management. Works cross-functionally with internal business teams to provide timely information and facilitate discussions to generate opportunities and problem solving. Liaises with Marketing & Communications to strategize, lead and direct partner-centric communications amplifying key messages regarding MEDC programs and projects.

Education:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in Business,
Economic Development, Finance, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
This position requires a minimum of eight to ten years related experience and/or training in business, stakeholder relations, marketing and communications, and/or management, preferably with a public administration or political science focus.
