The DNR is currently seeking a Staff Attorney Supervisor. This position exists to provide supervisory direction, training, personnel planning, and quality assurance to the attorneys in the Legal Unit in the Division of Lands and Minerals, who provide legal services to leadership, management, and staff of the DNR in the areas of real estate and minerals, and to participate in the provision of such legal services.
Responsibilities include:
The selected candidate will have the option to report to St. Paul or Hibbing, MN. Specific location will be determined at time of selection. This position has a flexible work arrangement and may be eligible to telework on a part-time basis which is subject to change. If approved, the employee would be required to complete a telework agreement.
To qualify for this position, applicants must possess a Juris Doctorate from an American Bar Association-accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in Minnesota.
AND
Three (3) years of experience in the practice of law, with in depth knowledge of minerals, leasing, land acquisition, and real estate law. Must have demonstrated leadership experience gained through lead worker and/or supervision of professional staff and/or significant legal projects.
