Job Summary
- Telework (Within Minnesota or Neighboring States) and flexible hour options may be available.
As the Manuals Coordinator you will collaborate with staff across multiple divisions and administrations within DHS as well as MNIT staff. In this role, the Manuals Coordinator will update cash and food assistance program policy manual instructions as well as eligibility system procedures for county and Tribal Nation eligibility and employment services workers. These instructional materials are issued in the:
- Combined Manual (CM)
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training Manual (SNAP E&T)
- MAXIS procedural manual (TEMP).
- MFIP Employment Services Manual (ESM)
It is necessary that these public resources are used as required and authorized by state and federal legislative mandates and intent, that they provide instructions and reference information to program providers, that they meet the service needs of cash and food assistance program applicants and recipients, and that they provide public information about the operation of programs.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
Two (2) years professional experience working with public assistance programs or human services programs
Experience must demonstrate the following:
- Communication skills to translate concepts into understandable instructions
- Technical writing skills, editing, technical skills to manage web publishing or technical systems such as Oracle and/or SharePoint
- Organization and coordination skills to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time
Preferred Qualifications
- Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Knowledge of Project Management
- Knowledge of MAXIS eligibility system
- Knowledge of Problem solving skills to identify and suggest solutions for procedural problems created by changes in policy, procedures and technology
- Knowledge of ‘user experience’ (UX) practices

- Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check will be conducted on all finalists for this position. Finalists must pass the DHS background check.
