Assistant Credit Union Examiner
St Louis, Missouri (Hybrid work environment)
Salary range: $48,500-$80,000 salary commensurate with experience
Closing date: June 10, 2022
The Division of Credit Unions is responsible for the chartering, oversight, and regulation of credit unions in the State of Missouri.
Responsibilities:
- Review the operation of state chartered credit unions to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Conduct investigations for unsafe and unsound banking practices and assess the adequacy of internal controls.
- Responsible for determining the financial condition of credit unions.
- Review and evaluate policies and procedures
- Conduct financial analysis of regulatory reports.
- Evaluate loan programs for regulatory compliance as well as safety and soundness.
- Perform other related work as assigned.
- Occasional travel is required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of credit union operations, general accounting, and financial analysis
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other examiners, Division employees, and credit union management.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, and prepare concise written reports.
- Ability to demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in business or a closely related field from an accredited college or university. Related work experience can substitute for education requirement.
