Facilities Business Analyst

Come join our amazing team at the Office of Administration Division of Facilities Management, Design and Construction (OA-FMDC)! As an OA-FMDC employee, you will get to work in a position that provides analytical support for our team members who work to provide a superior workplace environment for state occupants and their visitors. This position supports the collection, validation, and analysis of facility data of over 14 million square feet of state-owned and leased properties. The Facilities Business Analyst will work closely with OA-FMDC leadership, other state agencies, and national and regional organizations that have interests with large portfolios of buildings and real property assets, and facility management data. The Analyst will work under the direction of the Capital Improvements Budget Manager to provide data and analysis in response to requests from OA-FMDC leadership and team members, other state agencies, partner organizations, and specialist consultants. Furthermore, the Analyst will assist with research, data collection, projections, and validation of state-owned and leased assets. This position will require developing and generating customized reports on a wide range of specialized real estate and building projects, as well as standardized reporting and ad hoc data requests.

What you'll do:

• Partner with OA divisions to develop dashboards that drive data-based decision making.
• Conduct analysis of data related to tenant/agency experience.
• Convert and validate raw data into clear, meaningful customer reports that tell a story by creatively displaying details in charts, graphs, and slides.
• Build and maintain various dashboards related to services and other state agencies’ experiences with owned or lease buildings.
• Validate and ensure data accuracy from various data sources in various forms.
• Respond to inquiries from other state agencies related to data requests, data integrity, dashboards, and data issues that arise.
• Market dashboards to targeted agencies to promote awareness and maintain an open feedback loop for continuous improvement to meet agencies’ needs for timely data-based decision making.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, AND three or more years of professional experience in the analysis and reporting of statistical data.
• High level of proficiency with Windows desktop operating systems, technology, and office equipment.
• Experience with data visualization platforms.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and determine reporting requirements.
• Outstanding attention to detail, analytical skills, and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and complete tasks with a sense of urgency.

Preferred Qualifications

• High level of proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep Builder, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data warehouses, writing queries, developing reports and presentations, and using SQL.
• Experience with Qualtrics.
