What You’ll Do:
This position will lead the Office of Broadband Development’s (OBD) GIS efforts. The GIS Coordinator will serve as liaison between Missouri's Office of Administration’s Office of Geospatial Information (OGI) and the OBD, enabling conversations and strategic thinking regarding GIS data collection and mapping. They will also lead the planning and execution of the OBD’s statewide address level mapping of broadband availability. They will be asked to communicate the vision of the use of geospatial technology and assist with strategic projects to further broadband priorities with the effective use of GIS.
Specific duties will include:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in GIS, Geography, Computer Science or a closely related field
AND
Three or more years of experience in GIS or a related field.
Professional experience in these areas may substitute for education on a year for year basis.
This is a temporary, full-time, benefit-eligible position based upon federal ARPA funding. Position funding will end no later than December 31, 2026.
