What are the responsibilities and job description for the HHC-Support Care Professional position at State of Missouri?
Higginsville Habilitation Center (HHC) is recruiting for a Support Care Professional in our HOPE Department; and to be part of a highly effective team, that makes a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. HHC is a state operated program within the Department of Mental Health and supports individuals receiving 24/7 services.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Implements, maintains and monitors habilitation and behavioral programs for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Overseeing and supervising the direct care staff who work with the individuals
- Successfully completes initial and continuing competency training
- Attain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification and utilize when necessary
- Accepts and adapts to change with a positive attitude, to include working anywhere needed in the facility
- Work with HOPE's treatment team to develop, implement and review individuals treatment programs and assure quality of implementation of these programs
- Ability to write or assist in writing the Individual Support Plan with supporting documents
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as necessary which may include evenings and weekends
- Assures accurate implementation of the individual treatment plans
- Assures all documentation and data collection is accurate and complete
- Maintains and/or recognize safety conditions for consumer/staff protection
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Must possess a Valid Drivers' License
