What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Lead position at State of Missouri?
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist the Site and Facilities department (maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping) as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of trash receptacles around camp
- Assist with kitchen and dining hall responsibilities (serving, dishes, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, etc.)
- Assist in restoring camp facilities and grounds to order at the conclusion of each camp session and prepare set-ups for the next camp session.
- Set a good example for campers, guests and others including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing clean up and chores, sportsmanship, and table manners.
- Attend all training meetings and staff devotions.
- Assist assigned counselors and campers with bedtime responsibilities
- Assist in teaching or leading an activity, as assigned.
- Participate and assist with all camp programming – residential and day camp
- Utilize any training and certifications received to operate safe program areas in a fun atmosphere of personal and group achievement.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Desire and ability to work with children in an outdoor setting.
- Available from the last day of school to August 1st.
- Ability to relate to one’s peer group.
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision.
- Ability to work with others.
- Ability to assist in teaching an activity.
- Good character, integrity, and adaptability.
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
- Must be at least 15 years of age by June 1st.
- Christian exhibiting the principles of Christian living
- Participation in trainings to acquire appropriate certifications, if available
