The Missouri Bureau of Immunizations mission is to stop the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases by providing vaccines to children and adolescents who cannot pay for them through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. This position is part of the Vaccines for Children and ShowMeVax (SMV) team. What you’ll do:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the VFC program and the SMV help desk.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to Vaccines for Children providers and clinic staff regarding VFC program administrative policies and procedures and accountability requirements.
  • Enroll new providers into the VFC program and set up new users in SMV.
  • Review and process vaccine orders, transfers, returns and wastage.
  • Set up new users and process clinic changes in SMV.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make swift, confident decisions.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal level of supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of commitment to serve others and work as a team.
  • Experience in public health and immunizations preferred.
  • Superior phone and customer service skills.
