The Missouri Department of Agriculture, Plant Industries Division has a full-time, benefited position working in the Feed & Seed program located in Jefferson City, Missouri.

This job is a professional administrative position responsible for the quality assurance, quality control, and documentation activities for the Missouri Department of Agriculture Feed Control Laboratory. This position will maintain a detailed quality assurance plan, document control system, and regulatory compliance for the Feed Control Laboratory as a part of the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation process.

Annual Salary: $60,000 - $63,000

Location: 115 Constitution Dr. Jefferson City, MO

What you’ll be doing:

The Quality Assurance Manager will work closely with the Program Manager, Laboratory Manager, and laboratory staff in order to assist in the management to ensure that the Feed Control Laboratory maintains a quality management program in order to meet the ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager will work the Laboratory Manager and other laboratory staff in development/verification of new testing procedures, conduct system audits, make appropriate recommendations for corrective actions, as well as continual improvements to the Feed Control Laboratory. Evaluates data quality and maintains records, control charts, calibration records, and other pertinent performance information. Monitors QA/QC activities to determine conformance with policy and procedures. The Quality Assurance Manager has immediate responsibility to ensure that all laboratory personnel have demonstrated their ability to satisfactorily perform the analyses to which they are assigned that all data reported by the laboratory meet the required quality assurance and regulatory criteria.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Medical Laboratory Technology, natural sciences, or a closely related field;

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ISO 17025 Accreditation requirements and internal auditing.
