Tax Season Assistant – Refunds and Returned Mail (Temporary)

Hourly Salary: $ 15.00

Location: Truman Building - 301 West High Street, Jefferson City, MO

HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:

Our team focuses on processing tax returns, issuing Income Tax refunds, doing maintenance to refund accounts and processing documents in a timely manner. We are team oriented, goal driven, and we value strong communication and typing skills, as well as problem solving experience. You will work in a friendly environment with a full-time weekday’s only schedule with the potential of becoming a permanent employee.

DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:

  • Updating addresses
  • Resending refund checks that have been returned
  • Prepping work to be scanned
  • Shredding old files
  • Other department duties as assigned

CORE COMPENTENCIES NEEDED:

Reliable Computer Literacy Motivated

Self-directed Attention to Detail Clear Communication

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Proficient typing and computer skills
