The Position
Conservation Aids assist professional staff in a variety of projects involving the conservation and preservation of the State's natural resources.

You must respond to the minimum qualifications screening question to ensure that your application moves forward. Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. OR Incumbents perform basic tasks or elements of the job not requiring the additional knowledge, skills and abilities to perform at the next level in the series.
Positions perform a variety of duties related to wildlife management, conservation, and wildlife ecology. Conduct field surveys, inventories, research projects and investigations. Complete field reports, summer completion reports. Provide aid and assistance to field biologists. Part of college work program. Positions are of a 4-month duration. The Game Division has seasonal openings in the Elko, Reno, Tonopah. All positions require a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. Seasonal housing during the employment period for these positions is available at assigned duty station. Positions are being recruited at Conservation Aid 1, Conservation Aid 2, and Conservation Aid 3 levels. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and six months of experience assisting in resource conservation projects or wildlife management projects; OR completion of 15 college credits in wildlife management, biology, or closely related field; OR six months of experience as a Conservation Aid I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Notes
Work may be performed under adverse weather conditions and include extensive walking under difficult conditions and camping in remote, primitive locations.
