The Position
Microfilm/Scanner Operators perform microfilming and scanning assignments which include document preparation, filming, scanning and inspection of processed films and images.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This recruitment will be used to fill multiple vacancies located in our Carson City DMV Office within our Central Services Division, Document Processing Unit. The appointee will be trained and/or required to carry out the following job duties: Arrange documents in correct order as per policy and procedure. Remove paper clips, staples, and repair damages on documents for scanning. Place documents (buckets) in designated areas for scanning. Assisting with truck each month, lifting and rotating buckets. Dumping validation work for shredding/removing buckets and taking to warehouse. Inputting stats before end of each shift. Operate the Kofax Express program, Batch Manager and/or related software. Validating of work that has been scanned in Kofax to identify and correct errors. Under the authority of NRS 239B.010.1(b), the DMV utilizes NRS 205.4605 - 205.810, NRS 293.504, NRS 293.5045, 6 CFR 37.45, 49 CFR 1572.103, and 49 CFR 384.228 as criteria to obtain a FBI fingerprint clearance check on current and prospective employees. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of experience performing general office work, six months of which included microfilming or scanning assignments consisting of document preparation, filming and inspection of processed film; OR six months of experience as a Microfilm/Scanner Operator I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
