The Position
Social Services Chiefs manage the overall design, analysis, development and evaluation of social services programs.
This opening is for a Social Services Chief I, External Stakeholder Chief, within the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) for the Division's Community and Provider Engagement Unit (CPEU), located in Carson City. The incumbent will manage the External Stakeholder program for the Division in collaboration with the Deputy Administrator for Community Supports and Engagement. Incumbent is responsible for establishing and monitoring the overall design, development, and evaluation of the Division's CPEU to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Division. Incumbent will serve as the primary lead for development and management of the Division's engagement and outreach strategy with respect to stakeholders including but not limited to providers, members, boards, commissions, associations, and other relevant community groups. Collaborate with other Division chiefs and the Division's district office managers as appropriate regarding unit goals and objectives surrounding external stakeholders through community and provider engagement with the Division. Lead efforts to establish regular opportunities for the Division's Administration and other Units to engage with community and provider groups in a manner that fosters and builds partnerships with these constituencies. Travel will be less than 25%.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, health or social science, public or business administration or related field and three years of professional social services experience which included serving as a consultant to professional/supervisory program personnel; coordinating program activities with officials and representatives of other agencies; interpreting and applying complex federal regulations, technical journals, and legislative studies; writing program policies, procedures, and reports; and conducting research and preparing recommendations for management; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
