Position audits and approves travel and non-contract payment vouchers, processes warrant cancellations and mails checks.
How does it get done?
This position ensures that all documents within the agency adhere to all Children, Youth and Families Department Policies and Procedures, Department of Finance and Administration Manual of Accounting Practices, the State of New Mexico's statutes and Federal laws.
Who are the customers?
Any internal and/or external entities, management and suppliers/vendors that do business with Children, Youth and Families Department.
Ideal Candidate
Experience with SHARE Financial Module and its Accounts Payable processes. Knowledge of Department of Finance and Administration Manual of Accounting Practices and travel regulations.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or Business Administration and two (2) years directly related work experience in accounting, auditing, finance and/or budgeting. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
