Position Summary
Responsible for assisting in safe execution of predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance. Candidate must have some maintenance experience, be willing to learn, eager to help, and able to retain information.
Position Responsibilities
Assisting seasoned mechanics in routine maintenance activities such as.
· changing oil, greasing, repairing equipment, troubleshooting, work orders, part orders, etc.…
· Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
· Completing all paperwork necessary for department
Position Requirements
· Previous maintenance experience
· Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
· Basic fabrication knowledge
· Ability to work well with others and multitask
· Ability to find correct part numbers and order materials
· Reading and understanding of Safety Data Sheet
· Teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively
· Ability to work in a fast pace and changing environment
Essential Job Functions:
· Flexible for all shifts; understand and follow instructions.
· Experience with or willingness to learn about Power Transmission equipment and materials
· Experience with or willingness to learn about Electricity (120VAC-480VAC; 12VDC-24VDC)
· Experience with or willingness to learn about Welding/ Fabrication equipment
· Experience with or willingness to learn about OSHA safety regulations
· Experience with or willingness to learn about Power tools
· Experience with or willingness to learn about Pipefitting
· Visual inspections
· Bilingual preferred
· Any special task as required by supervisor
· Able to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the day
· Must be able to pass the standard Forklift Driver written & driving exams
