Murdoch Developmental Center is currently accepting applications for 2 Housekeeper positions to work on 1st shift. These position will perform a variety of duties in the cleaning and sanitizing of dayrooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and other assigned areas using the appropriate disinfectants and cleaners to enhance the overall appearance and sanitation of the facility. Â ADA requirements will be discussed during the interview. Daily assignments are assigned by supervisory personnel and work is reviewed weekly with quality checks. Â

Multiple Positions
The normal work schedule is 1st shift (6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), Monday - Friday, including some weekends for special projects. These positions are designated Essential and must report or stay overnight during adverse weather events.Â

Murdoch Developmental Center is a 24/7 state residential facility located in Butner, NC, near the Research Triangle area. Murdoch serves individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). Murdoch is a caring community where professionals work with people of various ages, cognitive and functional abilities. - Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing hard surfaces, cleaning walls, woodwork, windows, and light fixtures Â
- Cleaning and sanitizing of bathrooms, including replenishing paper supplies and soap as needed Â
- Emptying trash receptacles and other related duties as requested by their supervisor or management Â
- Assisting with tasks related to inclement weather tasks Â
- Other tasks as assigned by the supervision
