This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. This temporary position is located in Raleigh, NC - Wake County.  


Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). 

 
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Information Technology. This position is located at 3700 Wake Forest Rd., Raleigh, NC 27609.


Assist the Facility maintenance team with moving furniture and surplus materials.  Move and setup cubicles.  General maintenance including painting and minor repairs to buildings and grounds and escorting vendors as needed.

  • Basic to general knowledge of the principles and techniques of assigned trades. 
  • Basic knowledge of general maintenance and building repair. 
  • Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment necessary to the work. 
  • Ability to read and interpret building codes. 
  • Ability to read blueprints. 
  • Ability to operate the more common types of shop or wood working equipment. 
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Physical strength sufficient to perform heavy physical tasks for extended periods of time.

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma or a sufficient year-for-year combination of education and experience associated with a variety of mechanical or building trades; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Special Qualification May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.
