JOB SUMMARY: Advise Finance students on course requirements, graduation requirements, and career opportunities. Oversee class scheduling and course transfers, including study abroad courses. Collaborate with potential employers and alumni to facilitate recruitment of students. Perform other duties as assigned.JOB DUTIES: 90% - Essential - Student Services: Counsel and facilitate student success in academic programs by ensuring that students follow their established degree requirements. Independently meet with each student in person at least once per term. Aid in getting students back on track, if necessary, and provide other university resources to aid in student support. Provide guidance on course requirements, study abroad courses, transfer courses, and graduation requirements. Assist the College Advising Center at orientations. Represent the department at recruiting and other undergraduate events.5% - Essential - Special Programs Management: Represent the Department at undergraduate events and workshops such as recruiting events and orientation, College of Business events, and college advising meetings. Responsible for the development and updating of advising materials, including working with Degree Works programmers and meeting with the department Curriculum Committee.5% - Essential - Recruitment and Alumni Relations: Aid the Department Chair in acting as a liaison between recruiters, alumni, and the department to help foster student job placements. Assist with planning and coordinating the annual recruiter's reception. Assist with alumni panels, as needed.
