Assists the Director of Financial Aid and Veterans’ Affairs with designing, developing, planning, and implementing the college's financial aid processes. Maintains department policies and procedures manual. Maintains compliance with relevant institutional, state, federal financial aid guidelines. Provides backup support to employees primarily responsible in the following areas: Electronic collection and transmission of Federal data including execution on Banner processes to update student accounts from application through batch awarding and disbursement; Processing award information to Common Origination and Disbursement; Monitoring transfer students, and resolution of multiple reporting of aid; Banner Financial Aid processes to include set up of new year. Meets with relevant staff and with Commission on Higher Education (CHE) to develop and manage assigned State Grant Aid and State Scholarship programs. Manages institutional scholarships. Collects, tracks, and processes student requirements, determines scholarship eligibility, awards scholarships in accordance with institutional, state, and federal policies and regulations. Reports relevant grant, scholarship, and trend information to appropriate college personnel. Makes recommendations regarding scholarship implementation and requirements. Counsels students and parents in all aspects of student financial aid. Provides timely responses and exceptional customer service to requests for information or service providing complete and accurate information at all times.A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs. Master's degree in a related field; or a Bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in student services programs.Central Carolina Technical College is sincerely committed to both effective managerial practice and equitable treatment of employees.
