As the Food Service Specialist I, you will work under direct supervision to perform routine work in the preparation and cooking of food for regular and therapeutically modified diets.

As the Food Service Specialist I, you will work under direct supervision to perform routine work in the preparation and cooking of food for regular and therapeutically modified diets.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operates dish machine, toaster, mixer, food chopper, pot sink heating element, Aladdin carts, blender and other small equipment as is necessary for performing food preparation and sanitizing needs.
- Responsible for distribution and delivery of meals to patients (i.e. cafeteria tray assembly line or cart delivery).
- Participates in performing basic food preparation of the approved menu for regular and therapeutically modified diets - such as salads, desserts, and supplemental feedings for patients according to specification.
- Responsible for sanitation schedule in area of work responsibility and assists with daily cleaning needs
- Assists in assembly, temperature monitoring and inspection of food for appearance and conformance with menus, recipes and diets.
