Responsibilities of the Senior Admissions Field Liaison:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Enrollment Strategies, the Senior Field Liaison is responsible for promoting the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities in an assigned territory through presentations in schools and community organizations, as well as participation in festivals and conferences throughout the state. The Senior Field Liaison assists the Director of Enrollment Strategies with the training of Junior Field Liaisons, the development, implementation, and management of the application system, and the training of school personnel on the use of the application system. The Senior Field Liaison will serve as the first line of communication between prospective students/families and the school. The job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:- Travel: Schedule and attend school visits in an assigned territory, along with community organizations, Summer Camps presentations
- Application Processing: Process application materials, assist families with the application process, make phone calls to families throughout the application season.
- Application System: Shared management of the application system with the Director of Enrollment Strategies, updating and creating application components over the summer in preparation for the fall application launch; troubleshooting glitches in the system by reaching out to the application provider.
- Conferences & Festivals: Register our office for conferences and festivals, and attend conferences and festivals as assigned.
- Training: In coordination with the Director of Enrollment Strategies, assist in training junior-level liaisons on how to use the application system, how to complete travel paperwork, how to schedule visits, how to use/update the Master School List and Master Applicant Sheet.
- Support for Admissions Communications & Events: Adding events to the calendar, assisting with large mailings, and other items as requested from the Coordinator of Admissions Communications.

A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of basic principles and theories of admissions practices and educational administration.
- Knowledge of laws, policies, and procedures affecting enrollment and retention. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff and the general public.
- Ability to identify, develop and implement strategies, programs and activities that will benefit the campus community and increase enrollment.
- Must be able to work variable hours and shifts, including some weekends. This position requires occasional travel, including overnight travel.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
