What are the responsibilities and job description for the SHEP Responder I (61036235) position at State of South Carolina?
Travels assigned routes, assisting stranded motorists with vehicle services such as fuel, water, tire changes, jump starts, etc. Travels assigned routes, assisting emergency response agencies during incidents. Clears travel lanes of disabled vehicles and debris, and assists with emergency traffic control. Records incident response activities at incident scenes, and communicates this information, as needed, to the Traffic Management Center (TMC) dispatcher. Inputs all recorded data daily. Assists in the cleaning and maintaining of incident response vehicles and facilities as directed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
The physical demands for the essential function involves manual dexterity, excellent vision, and may require lifting up to 60 lbs. May work outside of normal scheduled work week and during inclement weather. Work environment is generally in a truck and close proximity to heavy and fast-moving traffic.A high school diploma and six (6) months of related experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
