Provides special instruction in the child and families natural environment. Designs learning environments and activities that promote the infant’s or toddler’s acquisition of skills in a variety of developmental areas including cognitive processes and social interaction. Utilizes and updates prescribed lesson plans that reflect the unique needs of the child with sensory disabilities. Conducts curriculum-based assessments and establishes reasonable outcomes for the child with IFSP team. Provides families and other individual family service plan team members with information, skills, and support related to enhancing the skill development of the child.South Carolina Department of Education Licensure and Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Human Services or Allied Health Services from an accredited institution; experience preferred in early childhood development, childhood disabilities and one year’s experience working with infants and toddlers. Must meet requirements for the SC Infant-Toddler Credential in accordance with established guidelines within one year of hire date.If selected for an interview you must provide verification of your highest level of education (e.i., copy of BA degree, high school diploma, college transcripts) and if applicable, licensure and/or certification (e.i., nursing licensure, teacher licensure, and bus driver certification).
