This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, and worked within the agency.
As the Web Developer, you will serve as the Agency's subject matter expert for web design; this includes designing, maintaining and updating DMH's Internet and Intranet websites. This position will help divisions within DMH with their website design.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Helps with front end design with sites inside of the Agency's two SharePoint environments.
- Keeps up with emerging web technologies and advise management on how to best take advantage of the emerging technologies.
- Designs, implements, maintains and updates DMH's Internet and Intranet websites.
- Assists divisions within DMH with designing websites and ensures that content published follows DMH policy.
- Assists with the frontend design of SharePoint sites in the SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-premise environments.
- Researches emerging web technologies and advises management on how to it will help DMH's internet presence.
State Requirements: A bachelor's degree in communications, computer science, or a related field and experience in information technology. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
The selected candidate will have to travel to different locations and update website content after hours. Should have knowledge of relevant programming languages; experience with server applications; experience in webpage development, design, layout, and publishing is essential. Must have the ability to learn new web technologies and apply them to web applications. Must have knowledge in designing pages in Microsoft SharePoint. Must have experience with configuring an operating system to run a web server. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve medium to complex issues. Requires communication skills and ability to work with users with varying levels of technical expertise.
