What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wildlife Biologist II position at State of South Carolina?
This employee will be responsible for coordinating all programs, activities, and budgets of the wildlife section in Unit 3B (Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg and Barnwell Counties) to ensure effective management of the state's natural resources and the agency's material resources.
Job Duties Include:
- Administering and managing Crackerneck WMA and other WMAs within Unit 3B.
- Coordinating wildlife management activities and develops habitat protection goals in four county areas of Unit 3B.
- Acting as the administrative leader for Unit 3B wildlife programs.
- Working with Heritage Preserve Biologist to ensure that Unit Heritage Preserve's plans are carried out.
- Assisting Heritage Preserve Biologist with identifying potential land acquisitions within Unit 3B.
- Working with other government agencies to advance wildlife habitat protection and improvement, and wildlife abundance and diversity.
- Providing detailed supervision to all subordinate personnel.
Salary : $35,360 - $65,429
